FREESTONE COUNTY, Texas (FOX 44) – UPDATE: The Freestone County Sheriff’s Office has identified a man accused of claiming to be an FBI agent.
A Freestone County sheriff’s deputy arrested 37-year-old Kelcey Williams on March 25th. Williams is accused of pretending to be an FBI Agent from New Orleans.
Investigators say Williams had several identifying forms of information belonging to other people. Williams is also accused of driving a vehicle that did not match its Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).
Williams was transported and booked into the Freestone County Sheriff’s Office Jail Facility without incident.
Deputies say Williams tried to escape the jail when he was brought out to the visitation room for a visit on March 27th, but he was stopped.
Williams has now been charged with his attempted escape – which is an added felony – to go along with the two other felonies he already faced.
The Limestone County Sheriff’s Office is also looking into the information gathered at the time of Williams’ arrest, to determine if he committed any crimes within the county.
