Hello! My name is Jonathan Eyre. I am originally from Swindon, England. I relocated to Texas after my father retired from the Air Force in 1988. My father is American, and my mother is British. I have one younger brother, Matthew who is seven years younger than me. I currently live in Chalk Bluff, Texas with my wonderful wife Allison. We will be celebrating 19 years of marriage in June. We met each other thru a blind date and married nine months later. We have no children, but we do have our fur babies. We have our four dogs Katie, Annie, Buster, and Toby. As well as our three cats Gabbie, Tigger, and Meow Meow.
I graduated from Midway High School in 1991. After graduating it was my goal to join the Air Force. Sadly, this did not happen, and I ended up working for a local company as a trainer, beta tester, and provided customer service interviews for insurance company’s potential new customers for nine years. In 2002, I received my degree as a Legal Assistant and in 2012, I received my bachelor’s degree from Grand Canyon University in Applied Management.
Before coming to work for Nexstar, I was an Account Executive with Spectrum for two years. In my role I acted as liaison between Spectrum and our national partners and associated vendors, delivered training programs to foster success for both parties, as well as being responsible for business planning, merchandising and all sales related activities within their territories.
Before working for Spectrum, I worked for Extraco Banks as a Relationship Banker for five years and before that I worked for Alltel, which was later bought by Verizon Wireless for a total of nine years as a Retail Customer Support Representative.
During my spare time I like to be active outdoors. Some things that I like to do are ride my road and mountain bikes, walking, hiking, playing golf, and fishing.
Two big accomplishments I have done on my mountain bike have been completing a ride at Palo Duro Canyon State Park, as well as a ride three years ago in the mountains of Durango, Colorado.
My personal goal is to be able to purchase an RV so that my wife and I can start to travel to and camp at the different state parks of Texas. There are only 254 state parks to visit, so should not take long.
