GROESBECK, Texas (FOX 44) – UPDATE: The Groesbeck Police Department and Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers responded to a multiple-vehicle traffic crash on Friday morning.

The department said that the crash occurred on Highway 164, approximately two miles east of town. The roadway was closed entirely while emergency crews attended the scene. Travelers were told to seek alternate routes.

Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers responded to the crash at approximately 6 a.m. Friday. Sgt. Ryan Howard tells FOX 44 News that a Kenworth truck tractor traveling westbound drove onto the wrong side of the road. The Kenworth truck tractor crashed into a Freightliner truck tractor, which attempted to take evasion action to avoid the collision.

No injuries have been reported.
