A local teacher has been selected as one of two hundred educators part of an intense space academy program.
Shelley Potts, a teacher for West Ward Elementary for Killeen I.S.D has left for the Honeywell Educators at Space Academy training!
The academy gives educators the chance to learn math and science techniques through simulated astronaut training.
The 5-Day program takes place in Huntsville, Alabama where teachers participate in 45 hours of intensive classroom. laboratory and training time.
