Blood seen on the seat of a car raised suspicions and led to the detaining of three robbery suspects in Copperas Cove Tuesday night.
A Cove police officer had made a traffic stop in the 900 block of West Avenue B on a vehicle that had pulled out of the city park without its headlights on.
During the traffic stop, the officer noticed that the driver and two passengers had blood on them and there was blood on the back seat of the vehicle.
While the officer was checking all this out, police got a call about and armed robbery that had just occurred in the park.
The juvenile age victim of the robbery told police that four people had assaulted him and held a knife to his throat.
He said he had met them at a convenience store and had offered to pay them to drive him home.
When he took his wallet out to pay them, they noticed he had more cash and began beating him, eventually taking his money and his cell phone.
As police put it all together, the juvenile driver of the car was detained and the two adult passengers, identified as Lance Roberto Stennis and Raquan Jalonte Jones-Lewis were arrested, with their bonds set at $100,000 each.
The fourth suspect, also a juvenile, was later detained at his home in Copperas Cove.
