$90,000 in drugs seized, two arrested in Bell County

The Bell County Organized Crime unit says drugs with a street value estimated at $90,000, along with weapons and cash, have been recovered as part of an ongoing investigation into the delivery of high grade marijuana in the county.

The Unit and Killeen Police have arrested 29-year-old Kendrick Deon Parker and 23-year-old Laqunda Ami Meshea McCovery on charges of engaging in organized criminal activity and possession of Marijuana over five pounds.

Several search warrants were executed as part of the investigation.

About thirty pounds of high grade marijuana along with significant quantities of other controlled substances were seized along with an assault rifle, handgun and about $2,000 in cash.

A statement release said additional charges may be filed pending Texas Department of Public Safety Lab analysis on other seized substances.
