The explosion at Coryell Memorial Hospital severely injured several construction workers and caused the Baylor Scott & White Blood Bank to use large amounts of blood and plasma.
Tomorrow, The Baylor Scott and White Mobile Blood Bus will be hosting a blood drive at the Baylor Scott & White Clinic – Gatesville from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
This drive was planned before the explosion took place, according to Baylor Scott and White Health. However, they say it could not be more timely.
Their blood center has already seen an increase in donations, but they continue to ask Central Texans to come together to raise blood, plasma and platelets to restock the supply.
These donations will stay in Central Texas and will benefit those who may suffer from traumatic injuries in the future.
