Bellmead man beaten, stepson arrested, faces additional charges

A 25-year-old Waco man as arrested Saturday, charged with beating his stepfather unconscious, but as police investigated further, ended up charging him with other unrelated cases.

Police were called to a home in the 1000 block of LaClede Street in Bellmead at 6:27 p.m. Saturday where they found the victim injured.

The victim ended up be transported to Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest Hospital.

Twenty-five–year-old Daniel Matthew Perez was taken into custody at the scene.

But Bellmead Police Department spokesman Sgt Kory Martin says it did not end there.

Through further investigation, two women at the residence complained that Perez had exposed himself to them while making sexual comments and actions toward him.

Perez was transported to the McLennan County Jail on charges of aggravated assault family violence and two counts of indecent exposure.

His bond was set at $54,000.
