The woman found in Lake Belton over the weekend has been identified.

Belton Police say a fisherman discovered 48-year-old Lisa Diserens’ body last Saturday night. She was taken to Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Temple, where she was pronounced dead.

Diserens’ body has been sent for an autopsy.

Police aren’t sure exactly what happened at this time, and the investigation is ongoing.

According to the Texas Department of State Health Services, drowning is the fifth leading cause of deaths among unintentional injury deaths.
