College Station police report that a quick call to officers when a citizen saw someone breaking into a car led to the arrest of a 19 year old man and recovery of stolen property.

Sunday night at 11:24 p.m. officers got the call saying a man was trying to get into a car in the 8700 block of Sandstone Drive.

The caller provided a good description of the man and when officers arrived in the area were able to locate a suspect quickly.

As they conducted their investigation they were able to locate property from a vehicle in his possession.

As they checked surveillance video from a camera mounted on the house, officers saw attempts to get into two other vehicles.

Nineteen-year-old Nicholas Alexander Crum of College Station was arrested and charged with one count of burglary of a motor vehicle and two counts of criminal attempt burglary of a motor vehicle and was taken to the Brazos County Jail.

Jail records indicated he had been arrested on drug charges earlier in the year and had bonded out on those charges.
