Chick-Fil-A hosts Cow Appreciation Day event

News

Chick-Fil-A is doing it again.

The fast food chain is giving away free food, and all you have to do is dress like a cow.

July 10 marks the 14th annual Cow Appreciation Day, and the restaurant is celebrating by giving away a free entree to every customer wearing a cow-themed costume.

“So the cow campaign started in 1995, so just over 20 years ago. And so, just celebrating them and all they’ve brought to Chick-Fil-A and just the vision of the campaign itself is that cows want you to eat more chicken so it’ll save their hyde,” says Chick-Fil-A Baylor Director of Marketing Blair Brooks.

Free entrees include biscuits, sandwiches and nuggets – but not salads.

Kids can also get a free meal if they are dressed like cows – or in this case, dressed like calves. The company says over 1.8 million people dressed up to take part in the giveaway last year.
