Killeen police report the long arm of the law has reached all the way to Palm Beach County, Florida to bring back a fugitive wanted for sexually abusing a child.

Michael Alvin Williams,  who lists a home address in Boynton Beach, Florida, is being held in the Bell County Jail on a charges of indecency with a child by sexual contact.

Killeen police spokesperson Ofelia Miramontez says the case goes back to April 28, 2016 when a 16-year-old girl made an outcry to family members that she had been assaulted.

Police responded to the call on Southport Drive and determined that the suspect was a family acquaintance.

WIth the help of the the Children’s Advocacy Center who conducted a forensic interview with the victim, officers obtained a warrant for the suspect and had been looking for him since.

Williams was arrested by Palm Beach County Sheriff’s deputies earlier this month and transported to the Bell County Jail, arriving early Tuesday morning.
