A bicyclist hit by a car in College Station has been listed as being in serious condition with police saying he rode into the path of the car that hit him.
It was shortly after 10:00 p.m. Monday that police were called to the intersection of Texas Avenue and Harvey Road on a crash involving a motor vehicle and a bicycle.

While the victim’s injuries were described as ” incapacitating ” they were not believed to be life threatening.
A police statement said that while the bicyclist did commit a traffic offense, he was not issued a citation at the time due to the priority of his medical needs.
