Waco police say that a disturbance at a downtown club early Friday morning turned into a fight that resulted in a stabbing with one man in the hospital and the other in jail.
Police say it started with the disturbance at Austin’s on the Avenue, with two men involved leaving and continuing the argument at 1808 South 12th Street, with a fight breaking out.
At one point, one of the man is accused of getting in a car and trying to run over the 18-year-old victim, with the fight resuming with Clayton Dill being stabbed multiple times.
Dill was taken to Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest Hospital by private car where it was determined that one of the stab wounds included a punctured lung and another pierced the abdominal cavity.
Dill was taken into surgery and police say he is expected to recover.
Police were able to identify the other man as 19-year-old Brandon Lee Carlton, obtained his address and he was arrested early this morning on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
He was booked into the McLennan County Jail with his bond set at $20,000.
