Fight over gun causes car crash

Killeen police report a 28-year-old man was taken to jail when they found out the car he was a passenger in crashed into a parked car because the occupants were fighting over a gun.

Renato Razina was charged with with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon with his bond set at $70000 dollars.

Police were originally called to a traffic crash in the 4300 block of Lonesome Dove at 10:22 p.m. Saturday night.

They found out the driver had crashed into the other car when he lost control of his vehicle while struggling with his passenger while the car was in motion.

As the story unfolded,  officers found out the driver had offered the man a ride home but on the way an argument broke out and the passenger,  later identified as Razina, pulled out a handgun.

Police say no shot was fired and neither suffered serious injuries in the crash.

Police did not disclose what the men had been arguing about.
