First Nat’l Bank of Central Tx robbed in Killeen

Killeen police are looking for a heavy set lone bandit who robbed the First National Bank of Central Texas in their city Thursday morning.

KPD spokesperson Ofelia Miramontez says the alarm was turned in at 9:44 a.m. from the bank at 4304 East Central Texas Expressway.

Witnesses told police the robber entered the bank, walked up to a teller and presented a note demanding the money.

The specific contents of the note were not immediately released.

The robber obtained an undisclosed amount of money and left on foot.

No one was hurt.

The robber was described as a heavy set black male about six feet tall, wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, black shoes and wearing a dark colored, possibly black, ball cap.

He also was described as having a thing goatee.

The FBI will be joining Killeen Police in the investigation.
