Sixty-six year-old Eddie Wayne Wright of Gause has been indicted by a Milam County Grand Jury on charges of criminally negligent homicide in the death of a woman who died in his home.

Milam County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Wright after looking into the death of 37-year-old Gladys Drones of Hearne who died at the home in the 400 block of Prof Smith Road in Gause on September 12.

A Sheriff’s Office statement at the time said that investigators determined that Wright had observed the victim having some kind of medical complication and noticed that her breathing had stopped.

Wright told investigators that he waited an additional 15-20 minutes before calling 9-1-1 or seeking any kind of help for Drones after he noticed her stop breathing.
