A man accused of taking part in a particularly violent robbery and who led law enforcement on a chase across two counties, initially escaping, has been sentenced to 25 years in prison.

Chase Goeke was one of three who took part in the robbery of the Harbor Freight store at 3900 Bosque Blvd in Waco back on July 12, 2014.

In that robbery, one store employee was pistol whipped and another female employee was choked and thrown onto the floor.

The three robbers were dressed in black and wore gloves.

They got away with a large amount of cash and checks.

The robbery took place just before 10:00 p.m.but a bystander happened to see the men leaving and called police.

Officers got there just as they were pulling away and a chase ensued that ended up going out Highway 6, then onto back roads that ran near Riesel   where an officer thought he recognized one of the men in the car

The chase continued into Falls County where they got away after a Falls County deputy wrecked his car, but Goeke was picked up later and along with a cousin were  eventually charged and later indicted with the robbery.
