Harker Heights home invaded, resident injured

Harker Heights police say one person was injured as several men forced their way into a home and took several items.

Police say it happened about 11:45 p.m. Wednesday in the 200 block of West Cherokee when five or six men entered, produced a handgun before removing undisclosed property.

Losses were still being inventoried by the victim Thursday morning.

Police said the occupant was assaulted but that his injuries were non life threatening.

Police say there was no indication that the victim knew his attackers.

The victim was not able to provide much of a description other than that the men who forced their way into his home were black males who wore bandanas covering their faces.

There was no vehicle description.
