Harker Heights Police investigate stabbing

News

Harker Heights police report they are getting conflicting accounts of what happened Thursday night that left one man stabbed.

Police were on patrol when they responded to a domestic disturbance involving weapons at 8:11 p.m. in the 2500 block of Red Fern Drive.

On arrival they found a male victim with multiple stab wounds to the back and a man at that location holding a knife in his hand.

The man with the knife told officers that he had been attacked by the man with the wounds and was only defending himself.

Another person at the scene said the man with the knife was the attacker.

Officers continued with their investigation and Friday morning said the case was being presented to the Bell County District Attorney to determine what charges might be filed.
