Killeen police have arrested a Georgia murder fugitive.
Georgia authorities had gotten a tip that 22-year-old Curtis Dwayne Jackson, Jr might be hiding in the Killeen area.
After a brief search, Killeen officers found him in the 1600 block of East FM 3470 and took him into custody without a fight.
He will now be sent back to Georgia to face charges.
Jackson is one of five suspects in the October 2015 murder of 23-year-old Vernard Mays who was shot as he answered a knock on the back door of his mother’s home in Macon, Georgia
