Killeen woman held in stabbing assault

Killeen police say a 37-year-old woman is being held on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon following a stabbing that occurred on Tuesday.

Bond was set at $100,000 for Jolynn Nicole Elcock when she was booked into the Bell County Jail.

Elcock was initially detained after police were sent to the 1100 block of Old FM 440 Tuesday at 7:34 p.m. on a call about a reported armed suspect.

When they got there,  they found a woman, later identified as Elcock holding a knife toward a victim who was already bleeding.

As the investigtion moved forward, police were able to determine that the knife she held had been used to injure the victim.
