KISD 11th grader arrested for threats against school


A 17-year-old Gateway High School student has been arrested and booked into the Bell County Jail in connection with threats made against a school.

Deandre Jamel Finister remained in jail Thursday on charges of criminal trespass and terroristic threat after he was arrested Wednesday.

KISD spokesman Terry Abbott said KISD police made the arrest after threats of violence were made against students and staff members at Gateway toward the end of the day Tuesday.

Once Killeen ISD police got all the statements and evidence collected, they obtained a warrant and took him into custody.

He is an 11th grade student at Gateway High School whihc is KISD’s  disciplinary alternative education facility.
