19 arrested on federal drug trafficking charges

Federal and state authorities have arrested 19 individuals for their alleged roles in a methamphetamine distribution operation in the Waco area.

A federal grand jury indictment charges the defendants with one count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine.

The defendants include:

– 42-year-old Rene Marquez Lopez, of Waco – 10 years to life imprisonment

– 34-year-old Peter Nino, of Waco – 10 years to life imprisonment

– 34-year-old Brandon Roy Stout, of Waco – 10 years to life imprisonment

– 44-year-old Lloyd Ray Gatlin, of Waco – 10 years to life imprisonment

– 31-year-old Justin Rene Hernandez, of Dallas – 10 years to life imprisonment

– 26-year-old Cruz Oviedo, of Austin – 10 years to life imprisonment

– 33-year-old Kyle Anthony Baker, of Waco – 5 to 40 years imprisonment

– 41-year-old Juli Jenice Aleman (aka Juli Jenice Garcia), of Waco – 5 to 40 years imprisonment

– 30-year-old Devito Dembinsky, of Waco – 5 to 40 years imprisonment

– 37-year-old Benito Rodriguez, of Waco – 5 to 40 years imprisonment

– 38-year-old Decedreon Miller, of Waco – 5 to 40 years imprisonment

– 43-year-old Ricky Rivera, of Waco – 5 to 40 years imprisonment

– 39-year-old Julian Rivera, of Waco – 5 to 40 years imprisonment

– 39-year-old Shauna Gilstrap, of Waco – 5 to 40 years imprisonment

– 54-year-old James Leroy McMillion, of Waco – 5 to 40 years imprisonment

– 55-year-old Brent May, of Whitney, TX – 5 to 40 years imprisonment

– 25-year-old Sandra Oviedo (aka Sandra Cardenas), of Austin – 5 to 40 years imprisonment

– 41-year-old Jesus Juan Lopez, of Waco – 5 to 40 years imprisonment

– 43-year-old Nicholas Charles Caufield, of Waco – 5 to 40 years imprisonment

During this investigation, authorities seized nine pounds of methamphetamine. All of the defendants remain in federal custody pending detention hearings expected to occur next week before U.S. Magistrate Judge Jeffrey Manske in Waco.

The DEA, FBI, Texas Department of Public Safety and Waco Police Department are investigating this case.
