A 36-year-old man has been assessed a forty year sentence on a charge of continuous sexual abuse of a child and twenty years on each of six other counts after entering a plea Friday morning to charges including an allegation that he had an under age girl have sex with a friend in return for the friend giving him drugs and money and had her perform sexually for videos.

The sentences will be served concurrently, but because of the nature of the crime, he will have to serve every day of the forty year sentence without the possibility of parole.

Trey Allen Cartwright was accused of the abuse of a girl who was under the age of 14 at the beginning from December 2012 through May 2013.

Waco police began the investigation after the victim made an outcry.

He had been indicted on a charge of continuous sexual abuse of a child, two counts of sexual abuse of a child and three counts of sexual assault of a child.

An arrest affidavit stated that he had others have sex with the girl on at least two occasions.

The indictments specified three separate occasions, in May 2013, May 2014 and May of 2015 that Cartwright produced a performance on video tape of sexual activities involving the underage girl.

The arrest affidavit included statements by the victim that she had been taken to various locations in Hewitt, along Fort Graham Road in the Bellmead/Lacy Lakeview area and in the Ross area of northern McLennan County.
