A total of seven cars were burned in a Wednesday night fire in Lampasas County.
Four fire departments responded to the fire at Highway 190 and County Road 4818 shortly after 11:00 p.m.
A spokesman for the Lampasas Fire Department said the fire took place outside a building that houses three business: a transmission shop, a window tinting shop and a landscaping company.
However, he said there was no damage inside the building and equipment belonging to the businesses was not lost.
Most of the cars that were burned belonged to the owner of the transmission shop, but one car damaged and one car destroyed belonged to customers.
The Lampasas Fire Marshal said the fire appeared to have started outside the building among the cars and other combustible materials but the exact cause has not been determined.
Fire marshals from Lampasas and Copperas Cove are investigating the fire.
The fire was confined to the business property and did not involve neighboring property.
Fire units from Copperas Cove, Lampasas, Kempner and Fort Hood responded.
