A 28-year-old Bryan man has been arrested in connection with a deadly robbery that occurred back on March 30.
As of Thursday morning, Cameron Maclane Sonny Krumrey had only been charged with aggravated robbery in the case, with his bond set at $300,000.
A statement released by Bryan Police said Krumrey is believed to be the shooter in the incident that left Jose Armando Pina dead.
It was at 3:30 p.m. March 30 that police were called to the 1700 block of Virginia Street for a report of an assault.
They found the 23-year-old Pina with an apparent gunshot wound.
He was taken to CHI St Joseph Hospital where he later died.
Police say that witness statements and evidence collected at the scene indicated that Pina and another person had been approached by a man who demanded their personal property.
During the robbery, Pina was shot.
From what they learned at the scene, officers then went to an address in the 4000 block of Woodcrest in Bryan.
They executed a search warrant at that location and based on what they found, got an arrest warrant for Krumrey who was then arrested without incident and taken to the Brazos County Jail.
