Harker Heights police say they have tracked down a 29-year-old man wanted in connection with a violent confrontation with a man and a woman outside a store in August of last year.

He is accused attacking the pair as they came out of  a store in the 600 block of Indian Trail.

He is accused of pulling out a handgun and hitting a woman in the head with it, then pointing the pistol at the man with her and firing.

The man was not hit, but a bullet lodged in the outside wall of the business.

He fled before police arrived but was identified in the course of the investigation.

He was picked up Monday.

Andy Pichardo, who lists a Killeen address, is being held on a total of $200,000 bond on two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
