Arrest made in College Station murder

College Station police have made an arrest in the murder of 30-year-old Osiel Benitez-Herrera.

Officers have arrested 24-year-old Luis Solis on a murder charge.

On Wednesday, May 8th, police went to a home at 3031 Texas Avenue after getting a 911 call from Benitez-Herrera’s roommate.  When officers got there, they found him dead.

At first, investigators would not release any information about the death, but they eventually classified it as a homicide.

Late Friday night, they arrested Solis.

According to Brazos County records, Solis has faced several charges over the last four years, including Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Criminal Mischief, and numerous drug charges.

He’s being held on a $325,000 bond.
