Waco Police Detectives have been investigating thefts of baby formula from local grocery stores. These thefts involve Similac Powdered Baby Formula from several H-E-B stores.

Several arrests have been made, and additional arrests are expected.

Detectives have been working with other agencies such as the Arlington Police Department, the Sachse Police Department, and the Coppell Police Department for thefts involving the formula. In each theft, through sharing information, it is believed several known suspects are involved in multiple thefts.

At this point, it’s believed the thefts have resulted in $25-$30,000 in property loss to the various store owners. The amount of loss to our local Waco H-E-B’s alone was about $7,000.

Waco Detectives have issued warrants for three suspects for a third degree felony charge of engaging in organized crime. Two of the three suspects have been arrested.

They are 21-year-old Victoria Boone of Dallas, and 41-year-old Steve Young, also from Dallas. An additional person, 21-year-old Javola Dewayne Brewer, is still wanted in reference to this case.

Information from other agencies indicates the suspects have been or are continuing to commit the same crimes in north Texas.

The group appears to be stealing only Similac Powder Baby Formula. It is believed the formula is used to cut various illegal drugs or is sold on the black market.

Steve Young was arrested in Cleburne, Texas, and Victoria Boone was arrested in Waco.
