Bicyclist hit by car, driver cited

Bryan police report a ten-year-old boy received serious injuries when hit by a car Thursday evening.

Police say it happened about 6:45 p.m. in the 600 block of East  24th Street.

The victim was hit by a Nissan Altima driven by a 64-year-old College Station woman.

The child was taken to St Joseph Hospital for what were described as incapacitating injuries, but was reported in good condition Friday morning.

Police say the driver of the Nissan was cited for failure to control speed.
