Bryan man killed in weekend shooting

Bryan police are looking for the person who shot and killed a 23-year-old man Saturday afternoon.

Police were called to the 1700 block of Virginia Street at 3:30 p.m. Saturday on a report of a shooting.

When they got there, they found Jose Armando Pina had been shot.

Pina was taken to CHI St. Joseph Hospital where he later died.

Police say they do not believe this was a random incident and do not believe there is any danger to the general public from whoever did the shooting.

They are asking that anyone with suspect or witness information to contact the Bryan Police Criminal Investigation Division at 979-209-5300 or Crime Stoppers at 979-775-TIPS (8477).
