A Waco park has reopened with new amenities just in time for spring break.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday marked the opening of Kendrick Park on Bagby Avenue.
The City of Waco used a federal grant to invest $500,000 into the park renovation.
The new park includes a handicap-accessible playground, a splash pad and an extra walking trail.
The project began last year with the grant from the Department of Housing and Urban Development and was completed in two phases.
