Hillsboro police have released the affidavit filed with the booking of a man arrested following Friday morning’s stabbing of a woman.

The suspect has been identified as the husband of the victim; he is Juan Pablo DeLuna and is being held in the Hill County Jail

Court paperwork shows that police were sent to a location on Mark Street in Hillsboro at 4:40 a.m. Friday to find the female victim with a stab wound to the lower abdomen and the suspected stabber gone from the scene.

The victim told officers she was in bed when the suspect came into the room and accused her of infidelity.

She told officers she was then stabbed with a large kitchen knife.

At  that time, she told officers two of their oldest children heard the commotion, entered the room and grabbed the knife, forcing him from the room.

The suspect was then said to ahve left the home in a maroon colored Buick SUV.

As officers were later looking for him, they got word he had gone to the Hill County Sheriff’s Office and had turned himself in.
