Killeen Police say that a response to a violent domestic disturbance call led to the discovery of a man wanted by the Army for desertion.

KPD spokesperson Ofelia Miramontez says Friday morning officers were sent to the 400 block of East Rancier on the disturbance call.

When officer arrived they found that a couple who had been in a dating relationship had been arguing and that the argument had become physical.

Police took 22-year-old Brandon Tyler Tyree into custody on a charge of assault causing bodily injury with a family violence finding.

They also discovered there was an arrest warrant active for Tyree on a desertion charge.

A check with Fort Hood showed he was not on record as being from any unit of that installation.
