Driving wrong way brings marijuana bust

A 21-year-old College Station man attracted the attention of a Brazos County Constable by driving the wrong way ona Highway 6 access road and ended up going to jail Thursday afternoon.

The Brazos County Precinct 3 Constable’s Office reports it was 3:15 p.m. when the deputy spotted a gold Jeep going the wrong way on the east feeder road, the jeep going south on the northbound-only road.

As he made the traffic stop and while talking with the driver, he noticed a strong odor of marijuana.

A search of the vehicle turned up a pound and a half of marijuana hidden in a compartment under one of the seats.

It was estimated that the marijuana had a street value of about $4300.

Charles Ray Glover, Jr of College Station was arrested and taken to the Brazos County Jail.
