Waco firefighters report a home at 1614 Lyle Avenue was heavily damaged by fire early Thursday morning with an investigation into the cause still underway.
The written fire report indicates the alarm was turned in at 3:29 a.m.with the first units arriving in less than five minutes to report flames showing.
The fire was knocked down quickly.
It was noted in the report that the home appeared to be under renovation and no one was inside at the time of the fire, though utilities were connected.
The fire was believed to have started in the den area of the house.
