Lampasas County Deputies arrested a middle school science teacher just minutes after she resigned from her job. Christie Miller is accused of Providing Alcohol to a Minor. She worked for the Lampasas Independent School District for ten years.
The Lampasas Superintendent says the Sheriff’s Office informed him of its investigation into allegations against Miller on Monday. The District placed her on administrative leave at that time. The superintendent says the allegations are connected to an incident that happened the previous weekend.
On Wednesday, deputies concluded their investigation. Miller resigned from the school district and deputies arrested her the same day.
Miller went to the Lampasas County Jail, but is now out.
The Lampasas Independent School District says a replacement teacher has already been hired and assigned to Miller’s classes.
