A 34-year-old Harker Heights woman has been arrested in connection with a stabbing last week on Kachina Loop.

Police say the victim had turned up at an urgent care facility for treatment of a wound that he said was the result of a fall in a pool.

Doctors at the facility called police because they said the injury was not consistent with a fall.

The victim later admitted he had been involved in a domestic disturbance at his home on Kachina Loop and had been physically struggling with his female partner when she ran into the kitchen, grabbed a knife out of th drying rack in the sink, lunged at him a few times with it and stabbed him once superficially then one deeper.

She then drove him to the urgent care.

Police said the victim did not want to pursue charges, but police went ahead anyway, had the charges accepted by the District Attorney, obtained a warrant and made the arrest.

Bond was set at $100,000.
