Killeen ISD has set a series of meetings to discuss attendance zones for next school year.

The zones will be changing and some students will be going to different schools as new schools are added and school populations are balanced.

The first of the meetings will be Tuesday night from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.  at Douse Elementary School.

District officials will discuss and seek feedback from parents over the proposed new zones, then a final recommendation will be taken to the Board of Trustees for approval in March.

The attendance zone changes will taken effect next fall as the new Maude Moore Wood Elementary opens.

The district will hold a meeting at Skipka Elementary Wednesday night and at Timber Ridge Elementary for parents of Cedar Valley and Timber Ridge Elementary students.
