Knife held to man’s throat, girlfriend arrested

An argument during which  a knife was held to the throat of a Temple man has led to the arrest of his 18-year-old girlfriend.

Police were called to a location in the 400 block of Fryers Creek Circle at 12:50 p.m. Wednesday regarding a possible assault.

When they got there, they spoke with a woman identified as 18-year-old Heather Hickey who said that she had been in an argument with her boyfriend and admitted that it had become physical.

She told the officer that she had punched him and admitted she had threatened him.

The victim told officers that Hickey had become violent and began throwing things around the apartment.

The victim told officers he attemped to leave the apartment but claimed that Hickey blocked the door, then took a knife from the kitchen and held it against his throat.

Officers noted marks on his throat, then arrested Hickey and took her to the Bell County Jail.
