A local real estate company is looking for answers after several employee’s vehicles have been burglarized.
The latest happened Wednesday night when an employee left her car unlocked by accident.
The suspect checked to see if the door was unlocked and when it was, he hopped inside and stole a gun, several items inside, and cash.
Overall, he got away with over $1,200 worth of valuables.
“It’s very frustrating!!! I was so angry,” said Karla Sanchez who’s vehicle was the target. “We see him on the surveillance footage and he’ll quickly pull on the door handles to make sure there’s not a car alarm or to check if the doors unlocked.”
And this isn’t the first time.
In September, the same man is seen on the company’s surveillance video opening an unlocked car parked outside.
“It’s very frustrating! I was so angry that he came back again and took even more things and he’s on foot, it’s not like he brings a backpack or anything and it just makes me so angry,” said Sanchez.
That time he stole another gun, cash, and personal items totally over $1,000.
Both car owners work at Real Star Property Management in Killeen and now employees are scared he might move on from cars and onto bigger things.
“We’re scared that he’ll come back during the day because he has, he has come back during the day we’ve seen him on our cameras come scope out the vehicles so who knows he won’t come into the building, what if he catches us when someone is here alone in the office, it’s frightening.”
Two police reports have been filed and officers say the same man has been caught on surveillance footage in nearby parking lots also trying to open car doors.
“We’re all upset, we’re all angry and we’re just hoping that this guy gets caught and we get him.”
A $500 dollar reward is being offered to anyone with information that leads to the arrest of the suspect.
If you know who the man in the above picture is, you’re asked to call Bell County Crime Stoppers at 254.526.TIPS (8477) or 1-800-729-TIPS (8477) . You can remain anonymous.
