Waco police say a 21-year-old man is facing charges of deadly conduct for crashing a car on purpose after becoming angry with a female passenger.
Teion Delion McGowan was arrested Monday in connection with an incident that occurred back on November 10, 2018.
About 7:00 p.m. on that day, police were sent to a traffic crash at 37th Street and Sanger Avenue.
On arrival, they found the wrecked vehicle with two women inside, but no driver.
The women told police the driver, identified as McGowan, was the boyfriend of one of them and they had picked him up to give him a ride to a west Waco location.
Rather than give directions, he was doing the driving when an argument broke out between him and the girlfriend.
As the argument got heated, he is accused of beginning to drive recklessly and very fast, saying he was going to crash the car and kill them all.
The women told officers he hit several mailboxes and was aiming at a utility pole when he struck a street sign, got the car lodged against the curb and disabled the car.
He then ran from the scene.
Investigating officers obtained an arrest warrant and McGowan was found Monday and taken to jail on two counts of deadly conduct, family violence.
