Man convicted of 1989 Axtell murders set to be executed tomorrow

The man convicted of the 1989 murders of an Axtell couple and their son is set to be executed on Thursday.

Billie Wayne Coble is scheduled to die by lethal injection in Huntsville, Texas.

The Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles denied requests on Tuesday to delay his execution.

Coble was sentenced to die for the murders of his brother-in-law Sgt. Bobby Vicha and his parents, Robert and Zelda Vicha, at their home in Axtell.

Coble killed the Vichas, tied up four children and kidnapped his estranged wife Karen Vicha Coble. He ended up crashing out after a chase with police.
