Killeen ISD officials say they expect the district’s newest school will be ready to open in August.
New drone photos released by the district show progress made in the construction of Maude Moore Wood Elementary School.
Unlike some other projects in the district, this school is not being built with bond funds but out of the district’s regular facilities fund.
Built at a cost of $25 million, the school will accommodate the current student population and future growth.
In addition to classrooms for Pre-Kindergarten through 5th grades, it will have special education/resourcerooms, a library and media center, computer labs, art and science rooms, music rooms and gym/activity room and a cafeteria with a platform.
