Persons of Interest in ring theft named, sought by Temple Police

Temple Police are asking for the public’s help in finding two men who may have knowledge about the whereabouts of a set of Softball State Championship rings that were stolen from a coach’s vehicle last week.

Police are looking for 28-year-old Brendon Jace Bolsins who is believed to be in the Belton area and 46-year-old Marcus Jerome Knotts, who is believed to be homeless and hanging around the Avenue G area of Temple.

Both were listed as “persons of interest” on Wednesday.

Both have had previous arrests.

Temple Police say the rings were reported missing about 11:30 a.m. last Friday after they were apparently taken from an unlocked vehicle in the parking lot of an apartment complex on South 31st Street in Temple.

The rings were to have been presented to members of the Academy High School softball championship team at half time in Friday night’s football game.
