The non-profit organization Pilots for Christ opened a new Waco chapter on Thursday afternoon.
The group specializes in flights for people with medical conditions such as cancer to hospitals and healthcare facilities. The group also performs in air shows around the country to raise money and awareness for their cause.
“I don’t look for anything out of this. What I look is really for service. I want the people that I serve to forget my name. I don’t want them to even remember me. What I want them to remember is that through the love of Christ, I was able to serve them,” says Pilots for Christ International President Timothy Layne.
The non-profit is also looking for new local team members. They would prefer for pilots to have their own plane, hangar and fuel.
