Second Killeen ISD student honored for public service

The Killeen Independent School District has honored another student for his service work in the community.

Jarin Cole has been selected to be part of the 20th annual Incredible Kid Celebration by the Central Texas Youth Coalition.

Jarin is a senior at Harker Heights High School. He uses is musical talents to play for the residents of local nursing homes and much of the tips he gets are donated to cancer victims. 

Jarin also started the annual Blues Under the Stars concert in Killeen. He also raised more than $1,000 for a fellow classmate who was in a bad car crash last year.
