Two suspects arrested in connection with the disappearance and murder of a Rockdale woman have entered guilty pleas and will be sentenced at a future date.
Thirty-two-year-old Candice Nicole Jones of Rockdale and 32-year-old Edward Brannon Barry of Caldwell both entered pleas and both waived all rights to an appeal.
Sentencing and restitution will be determined by the court following a pre-sentence investigation and sentencing hearing.
The state is seeking a fifty-year prison sentence.
The two were charged in connection with the death of Emily Hacker who was reported missing in January 2017 and whose body was later found in a shallow grave near Lyons, Texas.
Police said from very early on that they believed she had been the victim of an assault.
Two other people had also been arrested in the case.
