Waco Fire Rescue personnel said a 16-year-old boy had been working a summer job when he became trapped in a grain bin under the grain in Clifton.

Waco fire units responded to the call just before 9:00 a.m. at Payne Agri-business in the 200  block of South Avenue D in Clifton to assist local firefighters.

When they got there, they found Clifton personnel trying to shovel grain away from im to allow him to breathe and trying to free him from his entrapment.

Rescuers made sure the electricity was cut off to the auger that supplied the silo as the shoveling and vacuuming of the grain continued.

Waco Fire Captain  Shon Cavett made contact with the victim and assisted him out of the silo.

He was then medically evaluated by Bosque EMS and determined not to have been seriously injured.

Waco rescue personnel credited Clifton personnel with doing most of the rescue work before they arrived.
